At the core of ApeX Pro, we strive to bring our users and traders security at all times — in their trades, data and funds — because security is the most important pillar in the ApeX Pro architecture and design. We're aligned and committed to the principles of decentralization, where there are neither barriers to entry, be they geographical or financial, nor possible vulnerabilities caused by central oversight on the trading platform or a user's funds.

Security is a provision that ApeX Pro will not, and is unable to compromise on. At any point in time, users need to have guarantees that their trades and funds are safe, and ApeX Pro is more than ready to deliver on that:

    • True Self-Custody

Your keys, your coins, your assets. While innovations and new features are continually taking security measures on exchanges to greater heights, ApeX Pro recognizes that no amount of promises can reassure users like having 100% control over their funds can.

Take ownership into your own hands with full control over your external digital wallet. ApeX Pro facilitates the connection of a user's wallet to the trading platform only with the user's permission, where their account sits behind their wallet's private keys and an additional Stark Key generated after their account is linked to ApeX Pro.

In the event a user loses access to ApeX Pro, they are still able to recover their funds with their keys. And in the unlikely event that ApeX Pro's service is disrupted, users can proceed with forced requests via StarkWare's contract to retrieve their assets — all without the intervention of ApeX Pro.

    • Verifiable Transactions & Fortified by StarkWare

With the integration of StarkWare Layer 2 scalability engine StarkEx, cryptographic STARK proofs secure and validate every transaction on ApeX Pro. Scaled with Validium, StarkWare's contract enables layered security checks for every transaction even with expanded transaction bandwidth. Transactions can only be processed with two (2) signatures on the end of the user wallet.

    • Global & Permissionless Trades

Open communities without borders at ApeX Pro with truly permissionless access to derivatives trades without arbitrary restrictions. No KYC is required to sign up on ApeX Pro, and there are no added caveats to depositing or withdrawing assets beyond verification of wallet and asset ownership by the user.

    • Audits — Secured

All smart contracts on ApeX Pro have been audited by Secure3, a Web3 security auditing ecosystem that is both trustworthy and collaborative as we drive an open and safer Web3 future for all. And needless to say, on StarkWare's end, their contracts have also been audited. Additionally, as ApeX Pro was built and designed with our community's interests in mind, it stands to reason that the community gets a transparent and open opportunity to test ApeX Pro's system for themselves via an upcoming bug bounty.

    • Meeting Traders' Changing Needs

As a decentralized exchange (DEX) governed by its community and users, ApeX Pro is ready to add any additional safeguards to enhance security at greater extents should the community decide that it is necessary. Threats are ever-evolving and changing, and so should our defense architecture — all to ensure that ApeX Pro users trade with a peace of mind on a DEX that was built with their best interests and needs in mind.

The future is Web3, so get a headstart and experience trading, decentralized today.

ICYMI, ApeX Pro just went live on mainnet on Nov. 21, 2022 and saw more than 6,000% in trading volume growth in less than a week as traders increasingly turn to safer trading options, maximized on ApeX Pro with our orderbook interface that promises DEX transparency and safety with usability that is typically seen on centralized exchanges (CEXs).
